No dash lights
Today I was working on the car, and the dash illumination lights stopped working. I figured it would be the fuse so i crawled under checked the Illumination fuse was fine figured I would change it just to be safe. Still nothing.
So i started thinking it was the Headlight switch in the dash. I read that if it was bad the tail lights wouldn't work. Flipped the **** tails came on fog lights and head lights. But no dash illumination. Started to track down thinking it might be a shorted wire off one of the gauges. I couldn't find anything. Does anyone have any thoughts or anything i might have over looked. Tomorrow I'll look into it a little more.

I said BOTH your headlight switch AND harness are bad.
If you put a good switch on that harness.. It'll burn up. [Been there, done that :/]
Virtually every time I've seen or heard this problem, that was the answer.
Did you look carefully at the connections between the harness and switch? Usually you'll see some discoloration [or obvious burn marks]

So I found out what it was. It wasn't either of my harness's. What ended up happening was i had the lights on at the time I pulled my radio out, an shorted one of the wires to one of the bulb in my gauges.
I pulled the headlight switch out. But get this my dumb *** friend forgot to tell me that his head light switch was already messed up an that's why he pulled the fuse for the headlight pop ups. Put it in my car and my fuse was in my car an his was already messed up an burned it up more. But anyway I popped open my head light switched checked all the silkscreen an one was burnt up soldered a wire in an BAM i have dash light. Next time I will be more careful when i pull my radio out.
