I just put an s5 turbo on my car.My compressor wheel is spinning but not making any boost.Anybody have any ideas i think the wastegate isnt opening.
(It made 4 pounds of boost on the first test run and wont make anything now).

start by checking vac lines and other air leaks. did you check to see if the wheels spin together. i've snapped a comp wheel before.

You mean the wastegate is open if you aren't making boost. Even if it were fully stuck open, it should make some boost though. You could also have a boost leak, pre TB dumping air.

Just read this after I posted. Careful, I JUST discovered today a vacuum leak with your exact symptoms. It was a slight one, but it was there. My car idles great and steady, but I got a slight hesitation that I couldn't seem to dial out. I also could hear a hiss around my UIM.

Same thing you seem to have. Look harder. In my case, it was behind the UIM where a previous mechanism was removed, but never blocked off.

All that being said, it shouldn't account for 0 boost though.

I assume you are reading vacuum then, and when you hit 0, it's just not passing it. Hesitation means leaning out. Vacuum leaks, we reiterate for a reason.

missing circlip has made the wastegate arm fall off ,, and hence wastegate is blowing open

else sometimes low boost is from poor clocking of the compressor and the turbine covers,, effectively amounting to a longer wastegate arm ( and low boost setting ) on internal wastegate turbos

Well, if you hit 4 PSI then all of a sudden nothing, something has popped. If you swear by no vacuum leak, then I still think the wastegate is stuck, and/or a coupler has massive leak.
Then again "no tune", you shouldn't be trying to boost.

Maybe the turbo is bad?
