Hot Start Assist...Necessary??

Ok, I broke off the prong's on the intake air temp sensor, is this necessary for the operation of my car? 1991 n/a

The intake air temp sensor is used by the ECU for more than just the Hot Start Assist, so yes, it's necessary and should be replaced.

fix. it will run rich all the time because the ecu thinks the air its getting is damn cold!
