Nitrous or Turbo?? that is the question

I got a 87 GXL that i am in the middle of droppion in a rebuilt N/A motor... now should i do a N/A turbo swap(maniufold turbo injectors adn a F-safc with a front mount) or should i go for nitrous with a header adn 550cc 2ndairies... so far my mods are TB mod, cold air intake, ported intake manifolds adn soon to be a strait through 2.5in exhaust.. if i go nitrous it will be a 125hp wet kit with the fuel "T" after the 2ndairy rail.. i am just puzzled at the dilema.. should i turbo my 6port or just go nitrous.. thanks guys(and gals) for all the addvice adn comments.. Dave

i would do the TII swap. cause with nos you will blow your motor sooner. if you do the swap all you need is motor, tranny, ecu, TII driveshaft and a TII rear axle an you are good to go

i heard that ''NOS'' will wear the engine the same as if you were running at the HP that the "NOS" would add.

I'm going off hearsay, but I have heard many people on this forum say the same thing

Man that is a toss up. I am thinking along the same line you are. I will probally do a little Nitrous Oxide. This is my justification for going N2O instead of turbo.

The turbo is constent where the Nitrous is only when you are on the spray. The turbo is likely to be worse off for the engine in the long run because of the high compression rotars (it wasn't built for turbo.) The juice is only there when you want it.

I say N20

Well N20 is deffinately cheaper and you will make good power. Make sure you have enough fuel.

If you want to make more than 300 hp (flywheel) you need to do a T2 swap and make much more

the series 4 t2 motor can handle ~400 before you might see problems, but the series 5 (89-91) can handle more.

if you are really wanting more power run both..
