New clutch - new vibration

This is in refernce to this thread - https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hreadid=103175

Now, between 1700-2300rpms, I get a pretty decent vibration....this is with a brand new clutch....Vosko suggested motor mounts...anything else I should look for?

Worn U-joints? Worn transmission rear bearing?
Reach under, grab the driveshaft and give it firm shake to see if you have any movement..

Oops, I should ask does it vary with engine speed, wheel speed, and/or load?

After the clutch went, I got some vibrations starting at 1700-rpms and gets worse all the way twords redline. I need some help! What in the world would cause this kind of vibration??? I can't imagine the clutch material causing this sort of problem because its relatively soft, and I don't think my counter-weight is the problem.

Here's a few more peices of information.
#1 It doesn't matter if I'm driving or sitting still, it always does it
#2 Clutch in, clutch out, in neutral or in gear, it ALWAYS vibrates
#3 I don't think we found all of the clutch material from the old clutch...what we did find probably only made up 1/2 of what was acutally gone
#4 It did this while driving clutch-less also, with the old clutch...and I thought that was the cause of the problem
#5 There were no physical problems with the flywheel I could see. No marks made by flying debris.

Thanks for help in advance!

Sounds like maybe the pressure plate still has some old clutch lining material stuck in behind it?

Maybe the flywheel does....but the pressureplate and clutch...and the throw-our bearing are all brand new. But the flywheel may have some stuff on it, yes....but it would be on the back, since I cleaned the front really well.

My car does this as well. Shakes with rpm, but doesnt have to be moving or in gear or whatever. I had my engine rebuilt, the flywheel was machined down a lil to get the "waves" outa it, I put new clutch, pressure plate and release baring, and were put on correctly with the centering tool and were torqued down to spec. I dont know if the vibration was there before the engine rebuild cause I bought the car with the blown engine.
Its not the driveshaft because it does it while the car isnt moving.
The only thing that I can think it would be is wrong flywheel counter weight, or something internal on the engine, maybe a broken baring which cause the ecentric shaft to vibrate, or a counter weight on the engine, or maybe someone doesnt know how to machine down the flywheel.
My clutch was not blow on the car when I replaced it so there is no pieces of it caught anywhere or anything like that.
oo and I solid mounted my engine, so its not the engine mounts.

What is wrong with our cars?!

Thanks for the help guys!
