Nitrous Powered RX7

just wondering becuz i no somebody that got thier car impounded, rx7 with nitrous, dont know how much he was running, but i heard from local people that it is pretty fast, guy was under dui when he got arrested so he cant have it for more than 1 month. Hes selling it for cheap

just wondering how well does the rotary go under nitrous, does the rotors keep up to the harsh treatments its getting???

i might get it, n then sell it 2x the price straight up to get some monies out of it
then get a 87 t2 n then do the infinite amount of upgrades

what should i do??????

Rotaries stand up as good as any other engine assuming it's set up right.

i have been running a zex nitrous kit 65 hp shot for 3 years now and have had no problems with my motor or anything like that. it all comes down to the nitrous/fuel mixture when your shootin. to much nitrous and not enough fuel........your engine is gone. i say buy it.

I would not stress and engine with that many miles unless you have a standby engine

I ahve bn researching nitrous on rotaries as well and u will be very happy with nitrous on your car. i just installed a 75hp shot on my car but have not hit it yet. gotta get the bottle filled. I mean u cn run up to 75hp shot before u have to retard the timing. Nitrous will put you on another level, the cars u used to have trouble catching will no longer even be able to read your license plate.....i say get it and see how u like it for yourself.

so this thread started talking about nitrous... and since everyone knows rotarys can take a lot of boost-related abuse, we started talking about "inproper" english, and eventually smilies.

OK so we got off topic a bit then.
So this 18 year old kid wants to buy a nitrous charged rex cheap in hopes of doubling his money to buy a TII and do all the crazy mods his Walgreens clerk salary will allow.
I say keep the nitrous charged N/A since it sounds like you only want to occasionly want to blip by people, save youre money and do some suspension mods, and do some autocrossing to learn how your car handles.

i vote for remaining off topic.
I'd say the nitrous car will potentially blow a motor pretty fast if the 18 yo kid is not careful. Not that I'm saying that any 18 yo kid ever was not careful. Or that I would know anything about not being careful. I'd say part the NA out and use the money to buy a turbo. hell, i sold a ported motor for $2000... it wasn't even rebuilt!
What I did to make money: get a cheap NA. Sell the body parts, doors, interior, etc. and use that $$ to rebuild and port the **** out of hte motor. Sell the motor for a ton of cash and use that to buy another car. Then you got some spare cash, too.
