Nippon-Motors experience?

Anyone ever bought from them? They have an 87-88 TII for sale with intake, turbo, intercooler, and exhaust (all stock) with somewhere between 40k and 50k miles on them for $750? This sounds too good to be true? Has anyone got any more information about them or ever done business with them? Maybe the price is for a non-running engine? I hope not but, thats probably wishful thinking.

Oh, and say i were to buy it with these parts included, and it was running, what else would I NEED to have to swap the engine? Can you give me a complete parts list? (like ECU, Wiring Harness...blah blah blah) Just a list. Thanks

Aaron

I have actually bought from them and was not dissapointed. I actually ordered a b16a motor from them and was impressed with the condition of the motor. Oil was really clean. What impressed the most was that they were gonna give me a sir2 motor with 170hp and lsd but then wouldn't sell it to me b/c it failed leakdown by just a little. Ask them about how the motor did in testing and how they tested it. I forget who I talked to there as this was way back in honda days. as always with buying motors: GOOD LUCK!

Sounds to me like a normal JSPEC engine. That's typical pricing.

Unless, of course, you're buying a whole car for $750.

I bought an S4 13BT from them about a year and a half ago. It came to me in real good shape. It even came with the Jspec ECU(couldn't use it because the motor was set up for an A/T). The only thing that was messed up was the intercooler, but that was due to the strapping that held the motor to the pallet it was shipped on.
The motor fired right up. No problems.
It still runs great.
I believe it had a 30 or 60 day warranty. Definately not 90 days.
I would recommend them to anyone again.

I have bought around 10 13BT from them.
One was bad and they sent me another one.
They are the only people I buy my J-Spec motors from.

My friend bought a 13bt from them also and there were no problems. On his engine it was guaranteed to start. Also, if you want to save on shipping it is cheaper to pick the engine up yourself from the shipping company, which in our case was at the airport, than having it sent to your house. If you ask Nippon I believe they can tell you were you could pick it up from.
