Nightmare on 7 street

Okay, call me dumb, but this kid looked for months to trying to find someone to un-f*** his screw-up. This kid got together with some of his buddies and were attempting to swap his factory motor out his 88 TII with a jspec. Doesn't sound too awfully difficult, right? LOLOLOL These knuckleheads figured that since the jspec motor came with a wiring harness and it was cut, that all they needed to do was cut everything on the car the same way, splice if back together and the car would run. I'll leave it at that, because you already know it didn't work or I wouldn't be here. Now, this car has more problems at this point than I can address here. I now have the car running, however, it is running real shitty and won't accelerate past idle. The gas is old, the oil is black(why I don't know, it should've been drained), it's an S4 engine so no tellin' how long this motor sat in the junk yard. I removed the emissions, but the test plug for the tps is missing as well. I can put one in if someone knows the right wires to hit. I have a fsm, but to be honest, it's a little much for me to follow. I like the wiring diagrams that have the wire color and such. Call me a 2nd grader, but I lose wires too easily in the fsm diagrams. Anyway, enough of my short-comings. The trailing plugs are continuously wet so I figured the coil is failing. The leading are cool. The compression is getting better. The kid said the car was bogging down at around 5k before he did all this. But I got this headache way too late, to be able to diagnose it. The only wires in the wiring harness from the ecu are the injectors, temp sensor, knock sensor, air temp sensor, o2 sensor, map sensor, afm sensor. The cas, alt, oil pres, temp sender, I think were still in the car on the other harness that was not cut.

Anything I missed or left you in question about. Looking for suggestions, and I almost sure I'm missing something that will help this engine run smoother. It's like its in super limp mode. It's come a long way, but it's getting close to the nitty gritty.

Please, serious replys only, I don't need a bunch of guessers or people ridiculing me for taking this headache.
