Nice Performance!!

i already did the searches hehe so dont flame me:P

I am trying to figure out which is the best setup for my 90 N/A Convertible. I will mainly be Street Racing, and an occasional 1/4 mile drag. I hear go with:

1. Eibach Pro kit springs, tokico 5 way adjustables.

but i also hear KYB...

does anyone have experience with these products that may offer advice for exactly what to purchase for front and rear?
thanks in advance everyone.

Fred

Ok, explain yourself, street racing means a lot around here. Street racing can range from strait out drags to heafty drift/grip sessions. For draggin get the springs and you should be fine. I went to an autocross center in vermont yesterday and they gave me some good ideas on suspension. Any five way, mean sway bars, nice springs and anything "deep well" that is totally adjustable. Expensive but when I get the money it sould be fine.

Only thing I can tell you is that I used to have orange KYB + Apex springs, and the ride was VERY stiff. Of course, 6cm lowering might have had something to do with this , but this combination sure was tough on my ***

I'd think that adjustables are better, but they are also more expensive.

KYB adjudstables, if you can afford adj coil overs...then by all means. If not RB springs, or ST springs, don't forget the Poly bushings!!

you are better off spending the money on NOS or turbo because you wont be smoking anyone with a stock conv. For street racing, just get some tokico blues.

AGX and ST's...i cant ride in a car thats not stiff anymore..i feel like its a granny car =( Stiff = good, too stiff = loss of a LOT of control. you WANT the car to roll some enless you have realll sticky tires.

1. Eibach Pro kit springs,
I don't think the Eibachs will fit on a 'vert. Maybe someone has tried but the application tht Eibach makes is supposed to be for the Coupe.

I am gonna run the KYB AGX 4/8 way adjustibles from www.k2rd.com. All 4 for $355. Then, I am going to get the Racing Beat suspension package. RB Springs, and front/rear sway bars for $390. www.racingbeat.com. I do a little AutoX, some drifting, and lots of street racing.

I agree with Tmak, get a decent set of non-adjustables and get a NOS setup, because you aren't going to be drag racing and winning against much.

Unless you MUST have a convertible, you should ditch the drop-top and get a coupe. No matter how much you do, it's always going to be 350 lbs heavier than a coupe.

Just about anything that can do 0-60 in under 8 seconds is going to smoke you unless you're going to get radical with the motor.

Man I don't know what's wrong with people's comments. Most people will tell you to ditch the vert\GLX in favor of a T2.....plaese DON'T!

Keep you car, get the KYB adj from K2RD.com, some sort of springs....and as you said that's a START!...don't forget the bushings!!
