if the sensor is specifically made for your car then it is (for the most part) plug-and-play. aftermarket sensors tend to have the installer alter something to make it fit (splice harness, drill and weld bung) so you have to do a lil research on how it is you're going to install

if you have a wideband controller and sensor you can use the screen to display the readings. you can probably somehow use the stock sensor but ive never tried it.
