next mod opinions?

I've got a recently rebuilt streetported engine with full catback exhaust system, what mods would benefit me the most next? I've been reading up and it seems like an intake would be most beneficial, however, I've also heard that intakes don't do much for 2nd gen being that the stock airbox routes air efficiently enough (even better if you do cut holes in the air box) to compare to getting just an intake. Is the Mariah Cold air box that i've seen for sale online worth getting if I was going to get an intake cone? what are your guys thoughts on this? Any other mods would be worthwile doing?

I'm looking to get some more power without sacrificing reliability, and fuel consumption (to an extent), becuase this is my daily driven car.

A cone filter by itself usually won't do a whole lot, but with a streetport, your motor will appreciate the extra air. Get a K&N filter, and rig up a cold air intake.

are there any big differences between different cone filters? doesn't seem like there'd be too much difference between the different brands as they all work the same way.

^ same here. i got an apexi filter and it works great. there are people on other forums that make airboxes for prolly alot less than the mariah one. after that you should look into an SAFC2 so that you can controll all that good stuff.

oh yeah another thing that is kinda important... what are you using the car for? like drag drift autox ect.? because for some of those you might want to be worrying about suspention and not as much on power.

Eventually I want to get into Autox, but not at the moment, i'm not looking to drag. For now it's a daily driver, and I have thought about suspension, but from how my car drives, suspension doesn't seem to be much of a weak point, it handles pretty well, I will upgrade it soon, but not at the moment, as doing a full suspension upgrade is pretty pricey. An intake is pretty cheap, that's why I'm thinking of that right now

yeah thats true. when you do do your suspention, just go for some of the less expensive coilovers. to get new shocks and springs is around half the price of coilovers so why not just go all the way and get the real deal lol.
