Newbie Needs Help!!!!

Hey First I'd like to say that you guys are the **** and I've learned alot from you guys just by lurking around inthe forum, But I tell ya I have come to the end of the road with this problem I have. It's '86 n/a and I just replaced the pulsating damper on it. After reassembling everything it ran fine except that I couldn't get the idle down past 1200 rpm. I then noticed I had broken a vac hose under the intake man. extention so I disassembled everything and replaced all vac hoses. So after putting everything back together I fired her up and she ran smooth as baby's bottom. I let her sit in idle revving her occasionally until operating temp was reached and I shut her off. A few minutes later I tried to start it up
and Damn!, she's flooded. So after going through the proceedure (simple and complex) like 1500 times I find that it will run only for a few seconds, and that is with the fuel pump unplugged. It seems that if the fuel pump is connected it will flood no matter what and if it is disconnected that it will run only long enough for the fuel thats left in the rails to burn. I've even had someone to try and reconnect the fuel pump once it starts but it only floods it again. I know you guys can steer me in the right direction and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here's a few suggestions. Check the plug on the AFM, it might have gotten cocked. There is an intake air temp sensor in there that could cause problems. Speaking of intake air temp sensors, check the one on the dynamic chamber as well. Another possibility is the water thermo sensor. It is under the alternator. These are the most probable causes of this. Good luck!
