Your low on oil. Use the dipstick.

Oil pressure gauge has zip to do with low oil light. The sensors output wire sounds like it's grounded to........gnd.

^ you could at least help out a little. What's worse? a NEWB asking a question that has been covered, or someone who is familiar just posting to search. you aren't helping a damn thing. i personally spent a few hours searching for a resolution to this to no avail, its pretty hard if he doesn't know the terminology.

The oil press. gauge doesn't ground to ground, instead it goes to a condenser (little black box) that should be mounted on one of the slave cyl. bolts. The longer you leave it grounded directly to the ground, the more likely it is that you have burned up your gauge. Make sure your ground wire hasn't shorted, directly to ground.

Your gauge is honked up permanently if it's been gnd'd for over a few seconds. Unrepairable.

Little black box? If you are referring to the CPU, the oil pressure gauge is independent. It will run without the CPU.
