TII Boost control -- How's it work?
What does the Boost Control solenoid on a TII do (besides control boost ) . Is it possible to control boost using a Haltech to actuate the solenoid? Looking at the diagram in the FSM, it seems like it would be possible to lower the boost (I'd like to be able to do that while I tune the car) -- is that possible?
Thanks!,

Yes, it is entirely possible to do so.

Thanks for the quick reply! Do you know how low a boost pressure you can get (assuming stock exhaust, etc.) if the solenoid was left open (closed?) all the way?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Short of restricting the exhaust or intake beyond reason, it should boost 5.5psi with an unmolested vacuum line.  This is the pressure of the spring Mazda stuffed into the stock turbos - both Zenki and Kouki turbo FC's.
