Ok so I need a new trany because I am putting a new motor with more power. And I plan on taking it to the track. My new motor will have 250hp or so and I don’t want to spend all that much on a new trany, but I do want a good one because I will be at the track. My friend for his Volvo(1986 2.2L T i4 about 400hp wagon) got a mustang cobra trany. Any ideas rather than getting a T2 trany that could save me some cash. Also what if I got one from a junk yard(has lots of old rx7). How can I tell if it is good?
