Unhappy Help! Installed emissions now car dies

I just finished installing an acv valve, airpump and new spark plugs. The acv valve is all connected except the air silencer house that attaches to the the lower portion of the valve. The airpump is installed but im not sure how tight the belt has to be seems pretty good to me. And i replaced my spark plugs with NGK Mazda plugs from the dealer. So now whats happening is the car starts, rpms fly up to 3k then about 5 seconds later completly dies. I checked all the vac lines the only air line not hooked up is the air silencer hose that goes to the bottom of the ACV valve. Any ideas guys?? My car was running beautifly prior to this install so i know its somthing regarding the ACV valve or the air pump. Thanks

Ok i checked everywhere i could for a vac leak and everything is where its supposed to be, there is no vac leak. This really makes no sense. I installed all this emissions crap and now the car doesent even want to stay on. Do you guys have any clue to what the hell could be wrong with my car?? Do i have to do the ECU reset thing or somthing?? \

Did you make sure to install that little black circular thing that goes in between the ACV and the LIM? Its a check valve, and im fairly certain that having it out would cause a major internal vacuum leak. Having that air silencer not hooked up wont do anything negative, other than make a funny sound

Yeha i did make sure to install a check valve.
I actually ended up taking all that crap off and now my car is fine. How can an ACV and/or the air pump have caused a massive vac leak?? I really dont understand the only possible explination is that the ACV was bad.
NO chance of passing emissions now

I just removed my turbo and had it rebuilt. During the reinstall, I connected the electrical connection to the air flow meter upside down. The connector appeared to be seated but when I tried to start the car it would fire up and the revs would go up to a few thousand rpm and then it would die after about 4 or 5 seconds. After about an hour of rechecking everything (and finding a couple of hose clamps that I hadn't tightened) I discovered the the connector was pluged in upside down. I plugged it in correctly and the car runs perfectly.

Is it possible that this happened to you??

The ACV can go bad, causing an internal leak. I believe there is a procedure in the FSM to test it.
