Welcome to the club! Looks like an 86 base model.
Tips: First thing to do is check all fluids and tune-up stuff.
I usally check the first 2 cats. If you plan on upgrading to a header then don't worry about it. If your not then just hollow those puppies out and your motor will love you.
The shifter bushings should be checked. Replacement is easy and cheap and the shifting is much bettter.
CAI really helps the car breathe much better. Try to make sure the filter is sucking some cold air.
Grinding out the intake elbow helps throttle response. Some may disagree but it cost nothing to do and can't hurt.
You will also find that this site is wonderful for any ? or help you may need. Try doing a search before you ask. You will prob see a thread on the ? already.
