I'd rather just take it to MD and get it registered there, where there are no emissions.
Hate to make it harder, but I'm from MD, and considering all the cars I've had to take to emissions, I think that plan might have a problem . . . . dont intend on passing MD emissions w/o a cat

The emissions issue is still in the works. Supposedly there's some sort of work around in VA that allows you to pay like $300 bucks and be emissions exempt. The dealer is willing to pay that or for new cats. I'd rather just take it to MD and get it registered there, where there are no emissions. I'm in the military so it's pretty easy to get it taken care of.
Not good.

Is there any way to tell if it has an aftermarket fuel pump or injectors?
You will need to look at them to tell.

I hate blue book values on the net... I mean... my car only has 38k miles on a '91 and they gave it like $700 more for the low mileage... it should be more like $2000!
Given a constant condition rating, the Blue Book value of your car places about a $1,200 difference between 38K and 138K miles, which I think is about right. The condition rating of your car would obviously be better than a beater with more mileage, so this will also up the price.

Hey, look at this:
http://www.kbb.com

Using my zip code...

91 RX-7 NA with 38K miles in "Excellent" condition = $4,400
91 RX-7 NA with 138K miles in "Fair" condition = $2,350

You were saying something about your car being worth $2000 more than one with more mileage?

In Bethesda you have to do emissions, but not in Southern Maryland. Same thing in Va, you only have to pass emissions in certain counties in the state.
