Your post is very confusing because you provided contradictory information.

So you eventually did get the car started, or were you only able to crank the engine?

If the car was running but died as soon as you touched the gas, then it could be a number of things.

First check for vacuum leaks, especially large ones between the AFM and throttle body on the black intake tube.

Second, how old is the fuel?

Third, adjust the TPS. This likely will not be the cause but it won't help matters any.

Does the engine sound smooth while it's running or does it sound like a lawnmower?

It sounded smooth the one time i had it running, but now every time I deflood and try to start again it almost starts but thats it, then i have to deflood again to get it almost starting. Now I noticed when I deflood its got tons of gas in it just from trying too start 15 to 20 seconds. I also checked the ignition system and it is operating properly from what i can see, all coils fire, plugs are new, wires are in correct order.

vaccuum leak(s)? Start searching for the leak(s) and come back when you're done.

1. open hood
2. start at the intake and check to make sure all the pipes are in good shape and CONNECTED
3. Check vaccuum lines to see if they are cracked, disconected or broken

replace anything that is broken/cracked, stiff, and try to turn it on.

You can cover up the TB and force compressed air into the TB. Listen for leaks. Another, more dangerous method, is spray carb cleaner around the manifolds and vac hoses and listen for a surge in the idle. This would of course require the car be running at the time....

If the AFM is full of black goo (there seems to be a run on this lately...) then the flapper is going to get stock. You'll have to clean it out.
