New to Rotarys...

Hey

Im new to the forum and in a couple of weeks i am going to buy a second generation RX-7. Withought trying to sound like too much of a newb i was wondering if you all had any suggestions on what to look for when i buy this car?

I wanted to ask you all if their is anything i should keep an eye on when buying this car like problem areas, millage cut-off points, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I nearly bought a GXL 88' that was in pretty bad shape a couple of months ago and ied jsut like to avoid wasting my money on something that is not going to last a year.

FYI, those links are found in the FAQ. The FAQ is the first thread a new user should read after they view the rules thread and is the first place to go before you ask a question.

One friendly post to search or check the FAQ is all that's required.

Dont worry. It happens with EVERY new guy here. There are a lot of people who just like to pick on you. If you read the FAQ/Archive and search before asking a question you will avoid the ******.

Yea, don't worry about them. If you listened to them you would NEVER post, because every answer for every imagined rotary question is in the archives. Just ask them. NO never mind just search. lol

Hey, well an update of sorts.

I tried to buy a second gen from a town about an hour from my house. They had about 6-7 FCs and 2-3 FBs in fair to bad shape but no one was at the dealer. later some guy came really pissed that these people had never given him a title for his ride. So i left to look for them from somewhere else in town.

I coulden't find any around town after a few days and eventually settled for getting an Pontiac Trans Am 97'. One of the only manual, sporty cars in my area at the time. The ironic part is that all week long I have been seeing FC and FD around town, like im being mocked lol. It is a sweet ride but i still would like to have a FC someday. I would buy one now if their was one available but i dont have the space at the moment.

Well thanks guys, i may see ya soon

Indianapolis, and rest assured it was not an impluse buy. lol

I was literally looking for a car for two days straight, and months before hand. I had to get a car though, i was basically forced into this position at the time. I know it sounds kinda weird but my limit was 10,000 and nothing in the area was either manual or decent. I would find things like a late gen Integra that was automatic or even a 12,000 jetta.
