New to the Rotary... Advice

I bought an 87 S4 Base. I wanted to go turbo on this one cuz i have an N/A AE86 and i was lookin for a highway runner. My friend told me i could bolt a S5 TII motor to the N/A tranny, and i have been told that my friend is full of ****... so i wanna know from the expierenced ones whats up... also what would i need if i wanted to build a 6port turbo? the only problem right now with that is that my N/A motor has that 3800rpm hesitation/bog/ not revvin at unless half throttle...

Most will tell you to sell the N/A and buy a TII. Also, a stock TII motor could mate to the N/A rear end with a custom driveshaft. (MazdaTrix.com or RacingBeat.com, I think.)

The FAQ has N/A to Turbo conversion links (as well as many other useful links!)

He didn't say rear end, he said tranny.

Yes you can bolt a TII motor to n/a tranny, but why? If you did this you'd need to put an n/a flywheel/clutch onto the turbo motor for it to work. But the n/a tranny is nowhere near as strong as the TII tranny.

It'd work fine, but for how long? Depends on how much power you plan to push and how much abuse you put it through.

As for the rest of your questions, please read the FAQ. Before asking this stuff, because it has ALL been covered and beaten to death before, read the FAQ stickies at the top of the section and search. If you are still confused, then post.

That is true. But you can turbo a 6 port n/a motor.
