New problem

Ok I got the fc running yesterday, thanks to the guys who helped me out. All I did was I put oil in the spark plug holes, replaced spark plugs, battery, & gas. But now I have more problems. The car smokes like crazy & kinda smels like oil. & it drives smooth except anything around 4k- redline, it bucks/sputters or whatever you would call it. Could the hesitation be from all the bad gas I was trying to start it w/? I was thinking changing the fuel filter & flushing injectors would help. As for the smoke, I have not a clue. None of this was happening when it was running before. Anyone got any ideas??? Thanks

Allan

If it feels like it hits a wall at 4K then check for proper operation of the aux ports, assuming you have an N/A. Also check your grounding to make sure they all look clean and well connected.

Would oil in the spark plug holes cause so much smoke???? I noticed a little film of oil in my tailpipe also.

Is there a way to free up the aux port actuators from being frozen if it is?

Maybe, you did just put a bunch of oil in your engine...however this should go away pretty quickly. If it continues to smoke then you may have another problem.

If the aux ports are frozen, you can remove them and clean them.

Oil can get in the exhaust system and smoke for a very, very long time.

3800/4000 RPM hesitation is probably a grounding issue.

Cats might also be clogged. That's what was up with mine when mine hit that 4k wall. I regrounded it, changed the tps, cleaned the actuators, etc etc. Ended up being two clogged precats.

It's more of a violent bucking from 4k all the way to redline.... is that the hesitation you guys are talking about???? I'm thinking of disconnecting the cat & test driving it to see if the cat is the problem & also check the the grounds.

As for the oil, I put a few ounces in each rotor housing... so it's guaranteed theres oil in the exhaust Could it be my OMP too?

Oh, another question, how do you flush the secondary injectors??? Do I have to keep the throttle above 3500 or is there a way to switch the primary feed w/ the secondary feed? IDK just a thought... Thanks for the input guys.

Thanks for helping me out guys....any more ideas????

Currently I'm having the same problem. Right after 3500-4000rpm the car has nothing. It continues to rev but there is no power behind it. The car is an S4 gxl and I just removed the emissions, throttle body mod, removed power steering, replaced apexi n1 exhaust with racing beat, replaced exhuast manifold with racing beat header. A buiddy and I messed with the car today and it runs fine but we are having trouble getting it to idle correctly.

Tomorrow I will probably make sure the secondary infectors are seated correctly. My TPS may be bad but I'm not 100% sure how to check it correctly....still searching. I'll let you know how it goes. I might have some video to explain what exactly is happening. Good luck.

Did you still have the split air pipe to open your aux ports on your exhaust?

A violent bucking is a bit different.

You can't clean the injectors on the car. To have them cleaned professionally they will need to be removed.

Check the boost/pressure sensor and the connections to it. Test it per the instructions in the FSM.
