Looks great.

I was in Lancaster this weekend. Left the vert at home though. I still haven't figured out how to fit the wife and kids in it yet.

somethin aint lined up right....hood bumper and headlight covers....looks like it has been hit...and looks like it needs to be wetsanded so you can get a gloss to it..,.not too be too critical but when i look at the reflection on the hood it looks misty

Agreed...that bumper is wavy when compared to hood..also mirror reflection on hood is fuzzy.
I'm picking mine up from the paint shop tomorrw..sure as hell better not look like that!

That looks more like poor camera resolution to me...

$1300.00, but I did get a break from the guy as I've done business with him before. He was just relieved I didn't show up with another 84 GSL-SE with big-time rust issues like I did two years ago!. I'm excited to see it 'cause it's a turbo conversion and when I brought it to the guy I had just installed a TII hood that was just gray primered.

it should still be glossy, all wet sanding does is get rid of the orange peel...

ah, hmm. I think a good wetsand will get it better if he does it right and then he should be good to go.

Yep, I had a 'hand sized' dent just under the fuel door, plus about half dozen door dings that were fixed. My biggest problem will be resisting the urge to wax it for a few months.

As far as the thread car, hopefully a good wet sand and light compound will bring up the gloss. My body guy says use 1500 grit while spraying with a soap/water mix. That sound right?

After you wet sand (to get rid of orange peel), it's really important to get ahold of a buffer (even a el-cheapo 20 dollar one from walmart), and hit it with some polishing compound before you wax. It'll look like a mirror then

That's what i've read/heard, anywho..

yeah of course, you HAVE to buff it with compound, thats part of the wet sanding process. but its a bitch cause if you go all the way to the edges of the body the compound gets in the crevices of the widow and other places, and its almost impossible to get it out!
