New motor in my car - Thanks to you all!!

Well, If you remember you all told me to put gear oil in my engine as apparently some kind of joke. My engine blew out and I just got it back from the shop getting a new motor put in it. I spent $2200 on you alls funny joke. I just wanted to thank you all for screwing me. Thanks alot!

No if you remember correctly you said that wallmart told you to put gear oil in your car and multiple members here told you not to drive the car before removing it and putting the proper oil in. You chose to ignore that advise and drive the car anyway.

You posted:
Oh yeah, the guy at walmart said that the thicker the oil the better since i ran mine low. I got SuperTech SAE 80-90 - He said the higher the number the thicker. Is this good oil? it was less than $1 per quart!!
To which members replied:
20-50 I believe is about as thick as you want to go, and that's in the summer... correct me if I'm wrong.
and
This thread must be a joke, no one would put 80w90 into their engine unless they wanted to toast it. Besides 80W90 is labled gear oil, not engine oil. If this person really put 80W90 in, they need to drain it, and replace it with 10W30 or 20W50.
and
I hope you didn't put 80-90 into your engine. That is GEAR OIL, for the transmission or rear end. It clearly says this on the bottle.

Look, all this is covered in the manuals that I have told you get look at. I will no longer answer these basic questions until you can post a scanned copy of the receipt stating that you have bought either the Haynes or owners manual.

If you don't even know the basics, I would highly recommend that you find a trusted mechanic to work on the car. If you continue down the path you are on, you're going to end up with a dead engine, and then get taken advantage of when you get it rebuilt.
etc etc etc...
