New motor in, but it still runs rough
Okay I have an 89' GTU and blew my old motor. I put a New Mazda Reman in with only about 3K miles on it. Now I got the motor to start and what not, but it runs real rough. It'll go up to 1500rpms (still real rough) then try to drop down. When it drops down it either dies on me or tries to save it and the idles bounces until it finally dies. I've used all my accesories from my motor so I'm sure something I brought from my old motor is the problem.
Right now it seems to have good fuel pressure, the wiring is correct, and also I'm sure there aren't in vaccum leaks. I doubled check all those things. Any help would be great. I just want to get this thing running like it used to.

And you're sure there aren't vacuum leaks? That sounds suspiciously like a vacuum leak to me. Spray carb cleaner around the engine bay while it's running, if the engine sound changes any, you've found a leak.
Check the compression, and make sure the plugs aren't fouled. Newly started motors will often foul out the plugs a few times before running nicely.

haha well I found the problem. Due to the free cheapo air filter I got. There is a little metal plate that covers the filter in the middle. Well, it fell off into the AFM sensor and caused it to be stuck open. So, the car couldn't tell how much air was going in....and that some
S*^* Well it started perfectly and I love it even more now!!!!
