New J-Spec import company

I have a 300zx as well as S5 TII. The guy that does most of the service on my 300ZX and knows the answers to all of my car questions, is partnering up with a couple of his friends to begin a jspec import business.

He's been in business as a nissan mechanic for about 15years, and one of the other partners just bought a Skyline GTR. www.new-by-robb.com.

If any of you are interested, visit that website and you'll get an email address you can send your requests to. Tomorrow I'll have a phone number for you to call.

I asked the same thing yesterday, and found out that warranties will only apply if you have a shop install the motor and it fails. I could be wrong though.

A new store takes time to set up but if your buds keep bringing in sick rides (like the GTR) they should have no problem getting business. Are they going to bring in rides from Japan or parts? Slater

I'm pretty sure that that they are going to stay geared towards parts. I know that exceptions can always be made for the right amount of money.

I need to know how much you guys are looking to spend for replacement motors, and what kind of services (in terms of warranty, etc.) you expect for that price.

They are expecting the first shipment of stuff in about 3 weeks, so they are taking orders now. If you mail me at arpus21@hotmail.com, I can forward requests to them in person by tomorrow afternoon.

well, if you can gaurantee a good motor (say for a few weeks after it's in the car and running) for around $1000 + shipping, then i'd say you'll get some decent business.

i can get a motor for 950 + shipping with a 90 day warrenty, and they dont have to install it

if the new company can compete with that, then they got my business

if you guys can list where the prices and warranty's are coming from, i can show them and maybe the prices can be adjusted accordingly.

I know about fc3s.org and nippon-motors.com, but i don't know of any others that i'd feel comfortable buying from.
