hey guys i have a 1989 Mazda RX7 GX, i have a question, i bought the car as a winter beater but i really enjoy driving it, the question is, there is some rust on the back fender, chips, and dings thru-out the car, 1 headlight is stuck and so forth. i want to mod one, should i sell this one for as much as i can get and get a T2, or should i work with this one and fix it and get the t2 swap and so forth. also i know i want the RE Amenyia widebody, does anyone have a suggestion on what kind of turbo setup is the best to run with the T2?

I can tell you right now that's easier to buy a TII than to do a swap with a N/A.

if you think you can get a T2, that's the best way to go.

well heres the thing, i could prob get $3000 CND for it, and T2's are around 5-8k, so there would be some saving to do, worth it?

you will definately drop more into doing a TII conversion than buying a TII.

ok well that takes care of that part, any ideas on a good stront turbo to use, i heard e6k or e11 is good management, what about turbo or exhuast or what intercooler? any suggestions?

I seriously want to know what is your summer ride if you bought a 7 as a winterbeater...........

for the turbo, exhaust, and intercooler... I would say that if your goal is around 300 to the wheels, then just buy a hybrid turbo, find a 3 inches straight pipe turboback and get a good and cheap old school HKS front mount

E6K is more than enough, the E11 would be more suitable is you were thinking about going 3 rotor one day.... but please! dont forget to port the wastegate, and upgrades those injectors!

If I were you, I'd browse the archives, FAQ and use the 'search' function for any of your initial questions.

Also, if you have no attachments to your N/A FC, I'd definitely consider selling it and saving up for the TII you really want.
