New Front End :)

Just got a S5 Front End with the blinkers and fog lights for $175. The only thing I need now is the lower lip.
I couldn't pass up on the deal.

Anyone that has done this conversion can you tell me how you wire in the fog lights and blinkers. Is it an easy wiring job or is there anything I should be concerned with.

I have done the conversion but did not install the fog lights. The blinkers use the same plug and will just plug in.

Very easy install you may have to tap into a wire for your fog lights or just use an external switch for them

If you get stuck, I know charlie @ mazcare's done it.

Just be considerate and try it first before calling him

I think he painted the trim black all the way around to make it match up.

I have done this a few times. The turnsignals plug right in AFAIR. THe foglights of course must be custom wired. Use a relay and the stock foglight switch (available int he same car). Note that the foglights are mounted to the stock fiberglass bumper, adn you have to have this to mount the foglights. There is nowhere to mount the brackets on a car (even an s5) that didnt come with the foglights.

BTW I plan to pick up an identical front end with foglights and switch off a white s5 soon. Ill post it on either ebay or this forum when I get it, hopefully b4 xmas...

BTW get teh matching molding and rear bumper and it will look stock. At very least you should get the stock s5 molding on the front fender edges, so it wont look so odd where the fender meets the nose.

THey were some old KMC 17" tuner rims, split 8 spoke silver. That car in the avatar was my first ever 7, 89 GTU w/turbo hood (black, looked like CF from a distance).
