new fc project

What do you guys think? Picked it up for about 750. Its a 91 s5 with 91k on the odo, clean interior, no rust. Its was painted primer black by the previous previous owner. Everything is pretty much still stock on the car and original on the car other than the radio and rims. Everything in the engine bay is original and hasnt been changed. Only thing ever replaced was fuel and air filter from what i was told. Only downside is its auto. But dont really car. haha Never thought id find an auto. Towel on shifter cause it burnt my hand when i went to move it from the sun

a 5spd swap is a good idea as the automatic trans makes for a less than thrilling ride. what was the original color?

the original color was blue.. im actually in the process of prepping it for paint. Painting it white. I miss driving stick. My original fc is still in nj so i bought this to drive around. Might swap to manual later on. Have to do paint first since my aunt who i live with now says its too embarrassing to have a "beat up" car parked in her driveway ahaha. I had to move into a gated community with standards hahah.

ill post pics tom of the some of the prep work ive done already at my shop.

not bad at all. i have an 89 auto. i actually like it. has a neat lil manual mode too but i also now have a five speed. i want to keep my automatic.. maybe add a small turbo.. but the automatic is nice to just cruise with. But that's my opinion.

yeah. i was actually thinkin of an auto t2 haha.. would be interesting. I actually still push my left foot down when tryin to start it thinking i have a clutch.

i picked up a k&n filter which ill mock up to try n fit the s5 afm. My s4 afm was easier to install a filter.
Also picked up a taurus efan for 20 bucks since the clutch fan on this car is shot.
thermostat will be ordered tom as well as water pump probably just cause i want make sure its all in workin condition especailly in this hot dry las vegas heat.
I know i need new bushing as the ones on the car looked shot when i jacked the car up.

Wheels will be painted gold as well..

i still have to update my 91 build thread when i go back to jersey for a few days. Its running but breaking up at certain rpms. gotta check the tps n other stuff on that ride.

here are some pics of it now. I just bought some primer, spot putty, and a pint of white paint just to test it out.

yeah.. at least it doesnt look hard to do a manual swap. From the looks of it i dont have to drill a hole for the clutch master, and the pedal assembly looks easy to swap. I guess the only hard part is changing the dif for the different gear ratio.

If i do swap it to manual ill keep the auto setup on the side. My friends gf wants an fc too but wants it auto i think.
