new exhaust for a 87 FC

I'm having problems and some people seem to think it's clogged cats... symptoms include the following:

at start it does its rev, then goes down to about 1000 to idle, after a few seconds id dies and bogs between 300-500 RPM
First gear has hardly any power whatsoever
Second gear has a little more once i get up to aobut 4000 RPM
Third gear has a about my normal power (before the problem) at about 3000 RPM
Fourth gear seems to not have near as much power (havn't ran it to high RPM to test it because I'm afraid of what it might do with this new problem)
and Fifth gear just plain has less than before, which says a lot because the stock N/A FC has hardly any fifth gear power...

If anyone has some links to where I can get a new exhaust system (full) for not too expensive, I'd appreciate it

also if you have any other suggestions as to what it might be, or some ways to tell what it is, that would be great!!!

I have an 88' GXL.. It had a HKS dual sport cat-back system when I bought it.. Even with that I was experiencing the same problems that you are.. I bought a Racing Beat 2.5 downpipe and had it mated to a high flow cat by a local muffler shop.. The downpipe cost $99.00 on the Racing Beat website and the high flow cat and install cost me $300.00.. The result was incredible.. Now I have power and a deeper sound.. I just recently installed a K&N FIPK as well.. The car runs very strong now.. Good Luck with your car..
