Your engine may be flooding, pop the hood and pull the engine computer fuse (forget the exact name or label), crank it for several seconds. Than re-insert the fuse and try starting it.

try spray brake clean down the intake to see if it will start. this will tell you if it is a fuel problem. also check your fuel lines if put on backwards the car wont start. try swapping them

no its not a fuel problem it floods out after crankings 6 or seven times the deflooding process is second nature now. it trys to start all the way up till it floods out and then i have to deflood just to do it again. engine is in time we've done that twice just in case i was off. we have spark and we've used up 2 cans of starting fluid.

Pull the plugs, and the fuse and crank it for a while. Let it sit about for a while (hours+) and try it again. If you hear the engine start to struggle give it some throttle.

i rebuilt it myself. my friends and i have been going over a few things and one idea we had is im an s5 and my sec injectors are 720cc low imp and i haven't ran a resistor to them yet to trick the computer any way that could cause it to not start even tho the secs don't kick on till 4k ?

Had this same problem when i rebuilt mine. In my opinion your problem is the shitty compression that comes with a newly rebuilt engine that has never been started. I got mine started finally by pulling the plugs, then pouring a small amount of oil into each chamber to help the compression temporarily. Started right up after that, though be warned, it will smoke like a bitch for about 10 min.

well that makes pretty damn good since cause we did try putting some 2stroke in it, but it wasn't thick enough, however we did see improvement with it it tried to actually begin to start. then we use some thick oil treatment (stuffs like lions syrup ) and it did help but we only put a small amount in it i guess ill try manually turning the engine and putting some in each compression chamber of each rotor.

a couple things with rebuilds

1-make sure you stab the cas correctly
2-make you have fuel and spark
3-make sure injectors are in correct order
4- try 20/50 oil in intake
5-a strong battery

all my rebuilds i go down my check list 9 times out of 10 they start first time

Oil in the intake. Their IS a point where you add too much, but unless you have parkinson's, you shouldn't overdo it.

When I swapped my motor, I didn't think the oil trick would work until my mechanic told me I wasn't adding enough oil.

Be prepared for smoke when it starts though.

cool deal i think thats my problem after its flooded so many time i bet all the oil has thinned out and not making a good compression from waht all you guys are saying, mmo or 20/50 should do hte trick
thanks guys

try not to pull start it...wayyyy to dangerous just get the list in order, take out your spark plugs crank it to clean out any gas then change your oil, let car sit for two hours then put 1 tablespoon of oil in each chamber ...put plugs back in make sure your battery is fully charged ...its best to have a v8 with jumpers on your battery ...you need 100% 14volts for cranking to spin it fast enough to get it to catch..vrooooom

When I get flooded out real bad I use 2 stroke in the plug holes but also take the plugs and put them on the gas range. I use the burner to cook off residual oil and fuel, then take hot plugs (using a rag) and install them. This has helped start even when reaaallly flooded. my $02.

you guys must be using **** housings, i swear i have never had to go to such great lengths to even get a fuel washed engine to start, a squirt of MMO in the intake vacuum port on the LIM. sounds like pull start is about the best bet if it's that bad, you can also try putting vice grips on the fuel line off the fuel filter to the rail, it works better than pulling the EGI fuse and even better if you can manipulate the vice grips while someone is cranking the motor.

if it still won't start then you have the CAS stabbed wrong, the fuel lines crossed or to be blunt, the rebuild is fucked or parts are too worn that it shouldn't have been rebuilt using them.

^QFT. If it still doesn't start, my bet is timing is set wrong. You shouldn't have that much trouble starting a fresh rebuild.
