new engine wont fire up

I just installed a rebuilt na engine into my s4. It is almost firing up but it just cannot seem to go. I susspect that it is a timing problem. There is fuel getting to the rails and injectors also the coils and wires are working to my knowledge. How do I adjust the timing?

I also removed the emmission rail and followed a guide that was givve to me from another thread a few months back.

Any help would be great

Did you remove your CAS at any time during the swap?

After I did my swap mine wouldn't start sight up either. I finally started it when I pumped the gas while turning it over. It now starts right up everytime .

Is the resistor pack on an N/A? If it is, then make sure it's plugged in, otherwise the injectors won't fire and you're just spinning the rotors with air. Mine did the same thing, it's an 87 TII engine. Plugged in the pack, and it fired up on the first try.

The Crank Angle Sensor is what you turn for the timing ummm now I bet if it is turning and you have everything plugged in. If i where you trying using that hot start technique because I usually did that and that was the problem. You might be getting to much fuel try starting it and then stop take out one of the lower spark plugs i think and see if it is wet if so then you are getting to much fuel.
