By not work what is it that you mean? It bolts right up. I suspect you are referring to the difference in the opening where the flywheel and the starter gear meet? Nothing a grinder won't fix. But no worries I am getting a new starter. I just don't see why it wouldn't work.

The flywheel teeth are different as well as the opening... Whatever you want to do. But a new one is only $90...
