Are you doing any of the prep work, if you are my advice is to just remove everything i tried not too and it made it so much harder to prep and the painter made me pull the stuff out in the end anyway. Probably the best thing to prep it with is grey scotchbrite and jif, and other bits use wet 800 wet and dry

Im think about stripping out my engine bay and painting it, but uh, how did you safely remove all the platic clips and what not? I pulled everything out of the bay in my parts car and had to break alot of little clips and what not.

PS, i'm doing 5A Sapphire Blue with a peral accent ^_^ i'm odnr with red FCs for now

Pics!

Ok, now that I've posted that 3 times in different threads, I think it's safe to assume they're coming after the paint.

Its not white primer i had to put a white basecoat down, the colour is a red tinter with a gold pearl, without the white the paint was sort of seethrough the white just gives it a fuller colour, there is

1 coat primer
1 coat white
3 coats colour
2 coats clear

And yea there is a heap of **** in there i didnt pull the engine so i dunno whats needed and whats not, the mechanic is pulling out all the wiring for the stock computer and alot of the emissons stuff when it goes back in, im just leaving the basic stuff like charchol canisters incase the cops have a look. And as for the plastic clips a few broke but you can get on the back of alot with pliers, im just going to go to the wreckers and look at some other mazdas for replacements im assuming the clips will be pretty generic
