Get a Ronin 8.8 kit, and get those 4.10s out of there. You will hate them as you make more power. You need 3.27 or 3.31 gears or even 3.08s.

I have the Ronin 8.8 kit in my car, Detroit TruTrac diff and 3.73s Most Ford 8.8 diffs will support 650 HP and you have a lot of options.

SO you are making serious levels of power, and you want a bulletproof rear end option? Here it is. We retain IRS, and utilize FORD's 8.8 differential housing that is widely available and extrememly strong. We include the hybrid axles to mate the ford inner tulips to the outer Mazda CV's.

Kit includes:

Front Mount Support Cantilever (weld in)
Redundant Front Mount Strap (bolt on)
Rear Mount Diff Cradle (bolt on)
2X Custom 4340 heat treated axle bars (Ford to Mazda conversion)
2X EMPI CV boot kit 86-2127 (outer CV boots)
2X EMPI CV boot kit 86-2103 (inner CV boots)
All mounting hardware
Rubber isolation for below the Ford front mount
Instructions and specs
To go with the kit you'll need the following:

Donor Parts:

02-05 Ford Explorer Diff and complete inner halfshaft assembly. You need everything short of the axle bar on the inboard end. Note: 02-06 Lincoln Aviators and 02-05 Mercury Mountaineers have the same diff setup
T2 outer CV assembly (again everything short of the axle bar)
Purchased Parts:

Rear diff mounts of the style of your choice
We recommend Mazda Comp mounts for a firm compliant setup --OR--
We recommend MMR Delrin mounts to minimize all motion (comes at the expense of added noise/vibration/and harshness.
Driveshaft and sub-components (lots of detail on options in the instructions.)
Axles are finished in a corrosion resistant silver zinc, the remaining pieces come in bare metal to be painted the color of your choice.
That is the product description from their site. It allows you to install a Ford 8.8 differential to hold high levels of power. It is expensive and requires even more parts after that. I suppose the saying holds true, "You've gotta pay to play."

If you need taller gearing options the Ronin 8.8 kit is the only cost effective choice.

If you are talking about buying an upgraded differential for the stock Turbo II rear, this setup is only a few hundred more, and you can run nearly any gear ratio you'd want.

The ford 8.8 can hold a hell of a lot more than 600. That along with the R200 rear end are probably the two best once you can but without having to fork out grands to have one built. A friend of mine has a R200 in his S2000 2JZ swap, but is switching it out for the 8.8. Needless to say he's making a lot of power as is. But the 8.8's as much as I hate ford. Are prolly the strongest out there. As for fitment into the FC.... That's where my knowledge goes south lol.
