New CorkSport widebody front fenders

I think these look pretty cool (I like the louver) and it says you gain 30mm in wheel clearance. Plus, they only weigh 5lbs. each.

http://www.corksport.com/main.php3?p...3Fcat%3D214912

Could this be a way to run 255/40/17 - or - 255/35/18's at all fours...maybe w/ a +30mm offset. Hmmmm.

Would 255's in front screw up the steering or would it make the car wander quite a bit?

I personally think those look awesome, Ive been eyeing them up since I first saw them. The only problem I have is that I think they may look a bit out of place with the rest of the car being stock-bodied. Id like to see pictures from different angles on a FC.

And they have a lexan rear window for $515 . . . anyone actually lifted their stock rear window off the car for removal? I would guess 50lbs at least.

Also I noticed they are making the silencer for my exhaust now . Yippie! although now that I have a (possibly dead) Bonez Super Flo system it is much quiter.

These are new? I though corksport has been selling those for like 3 or 4 months, maybe longer?
But Yes I do like them. Btu couldn't you make your own lexan window for a lot cheaper? Maybe partially carbon.lexan with a smaller window, maybe if I get my composite work off the ground.

I think $100 is a bit pricey for these, the kinda look geeky, they mess with the body lines.

Yes, the CorkSport widebody fenders will let you run 9" or even 9.5" all around. One of these day's I'll get them. Clinging on to that dream is the only reason why I don't fix my messed up driverside fender.

I like that picture that CorkSport is using. FWIW, the picture in the picture of the grey FC is not actually using the CorkSports fenders. They are the originals from BN Sports in Japan.

And that's the facts, Jack!

These Corksport Fender flares (not overfenders) are nice. i think im gonna put them on the GTUs im getting... cuz the GTUs is fuckered up on the passengerside, so ill just get these instead of factory dealys....

I just wanna know... how Thin do these things have to be to acheive that 5lb weight... I hope these arent sissified paper-thing fiberglass fenders that you can see thru when held up to the light... Im just worried that someone may lean on it and crack it or whatever.. you know?

I don't like that ricey vent... I was debating those or the mariah fenders and settled on the mariah. I'll try to get some pics up soon.

yea, id like to find out if anyone actually has seen them in person and can tell me if they have some sturdiness to them or if they are like some cheap knock-off front ends i have seen before... paper thin and see-thru.

i cant wait to get this car... its gonna be fun! Im gonna go get it this car saturday and ill get to see the damage first hand... i know i dont wanna mess w/ pullin the dent on the front... ill just replace the fenders. the rears, ill proably have them pull it cuz its not as severe as the front... the doors... probably have to have it pulled also, i dont feel like replacing the whole door.
