New coilovers *PICS*

Installed a set of cusco coilovers on thje car today. Just puttin out a few pics. And for anybody tht has installed a set before--Did you have a odd clunking/rattling noise from the front when u went over bumps?(after installed) Because i do. I checked ALL the bolts, brake lines are back in properly, im thinking it has to do with the car being lowered, maybe a sway bar hitting or something. Any feedback/suggestions are welcome. Thanks for viewing.

Pillowball mounts also make noise sometimes, not sure if cusco units have those or not.

I would check under the car for any FRESH scrapes to see if it is bottoming out. I dont know how much it lowered, but it's possible it hitting. My car never hit the ground on regular bumps, just speed bumps.

no its not scraping im sure. Im not talking about speed bumps, i mean like cracks in the pavement(small bumps). Ive already drove it like 10miles in the current conmdition. And it handled fine, nothing seemed loose or whatever.

it's just becasue of the metal on metal contact of the pillowball mounts, nothing to worry about

May not be something to worry about to some people, but if it were me, I would want it fixed. I got the same type of sounds when hitting small bumps and such when my upper ball joint and stabilizer bushings were toast. This was in my accord, but if im not mistaken, the 7 has stabilizer bushings also. I may be wrong. One of the rubber bushings was completely gone and was allowing the stabilizer bar hit the metal of the lower control arm (it attaches there on the accords).

Check it out. See if there are bushings. If there are, make sure they are all there. They are fairly cheap to replace if need be.

Good luck.

i was just saying that becasue he didnt mention the noise happening before. i guess you could wrap the upper coils with rubber to eliminate some of the noise

Just out of morbid curiosity, where did you get a set of cusco coilovers? Also, are they a full coilover monotube strut, or just the bolt on peices like the ground control setup?

they were full mountable strut, whole process took about 2-3 hours to swap out by myself.
