new clutch, slow car?

Hey I just got a new clutch in my 89 RX-7 but the car feels extremely slow compared to my 88 RX-7. I had trouble keeping up with my dad on the freeway.
This is strange since the 89 is supposed to have 160hp while the 88 has 146.

Will it be faster when the clutch is broken in?

thanks

get it dynoed, and if the numbers are low get the full 60K/tuneup.

take your dyno number and add 15% to get your final HP & torque numbers.

I don't think it becomes any faster when the clutch is broken in. I got a new clutch on my GXL recently... and up until i fixed my ports yesterday, it wasnt any faster with the clutch broken in.
