Unhappy New clutch installed, 90 vert, now throw out bearing singing

Well, installed new clutch, solved electrical issues, running good for about 2 weeks, and now throw out bearing is singing. Put new clutch plate disk, pilot , throw out, surfaced flywheel,
forks good, but suddenly bearing is singing. Torqued all to specs., kinda puzzled. Any ideas?

Thanks guys,

did you replace the clutch yourself? If you didn't, how much were you charged for labor, and where did you get your parts?

when does it make noise? while it is in gear? or out of gear? when the clutch is pushed in? or when it is out and your foot is off of it?

UPDATE: first makes noise out of gear, clutch out, as I depress the clutch slowly, you can actually hear the "spinning noise" decrease until it disappears when clutch depressed about 3/4 of the way down. But just now, driving to store, a vibration occured from 2-3 gears, and stayed that way until about 6000 rpm's. Not violent, but noticeable. Almost like tranny out of alignment a bit. Suggestions from here?

Thanks everyone,

make sure all your bolts are still tight. Did you replace the trans mounts? Did they look nice or dry and cracked?

In all honesty tinvestor, no I did not replace the trans mounts, and don't recall the shape they were in. I am going to check all bolts, and look at the mounts, thanks, but could this cause the noise that I am hearing?

sometimes you can just get a bad throw out bearing. I mean people make this crap so you cant rule out poor quality control.

Yes I did James. Nice little bearing puller at work, came out and new one in>

Thanks for the help. Coming out is not the problem, its diagnosing , as a rookie, after the boy is in hand.

I did the same in my vert a few months back....

replaced the pilot bearing(along with lots of other stuff) and no more noise(new clutch made me realize how bad it was when I got the car.

About your vibration, I might be nuts, but I can swear I read that you have to mark the position of the driveshaft . Something about it being balanced to the tranny....
now I could be completly wrong about that, but I recall marking mine just in case, but can't recall the exact reason why... but anyways, a screwy driveshaft would make funky vibrations....

OK, Im getting ready to go check out all the possiblities listed so far, and one thing I just remembered is that when I'm stearing right, the vibration gets a little bit more noticable. And as far as the driveshaft, I left 2 bolts in it, and two in the flange so that wouldn't occur.

Thanks again. I'll let you all know what I find.

Vibrations are most likely the tranny mounts are worn a bit, or you may need to realign the Pplate and disc, either way it sounds like your going to have to take that bad boy out again, sorry man, but atleast you get to check all these things again. i would just order a new pilot bearing and pull the old one out and put a new one in, i dont know if you read this or if anyone told you but you have to be pretty careful with putting the pilotbearing in and when you put the tranny in, if you kink the bearing the wrong way it will go bad really quick, it is after all a small needle bearing, good luck man

Update, sort of. Went through the whole routine of re-install, without actually having the tranny out. Found a rubber hanger from tranny to exhaust had broken, replaced it. Re-torqued all nuts/bolts to speck, and found the problem of my vibration, I hope. Don't even ask me how, but I 180 'ed the driveshaft upon installation. Had two bolts in, two out, not to mess up, and still did. Thank god for white paint. Seemed to solve that issue, but still noise in bearing/clutch area. Going to pull tranny out hopefully this week, and check it all out. Already have ordered new pilot bearing and throw out bearing, just in case, and let you all know. Thanks again to all of you for your input. I appreciate all the help.

Newer update. Vibration returned, but now it is more noticeable when cold, not hot. Also, when I accelerate, either gradually, or say, to pass someone in a shorter distance, it is more defined than just at constant rate. Also, when I completely get off the gas, the vibration is 100 % gone. More help, appreciate it!
