New addition to the family

I'm a terrible impulse buyer, but I am trying to get over that. With that being said, I browsed Craigslist for the hell of it to see if there were any interesting things for RX-7s in general. Well, I sure found something interesting. It was a 1987 RX-Shell. For 100 dollars, american. For what it is, I think it is a decent buy. It also came with a clean title.

It is a little stripped, but it is ok because I can just figure out what needs to be replaced and what can be salvaged. Hopefully I can get the project going without too many hiccups.

So the few immediate things I need (or at least what I have made a list of so far)

Rack and Pinion (Hopefully I can get the manual version to keep it simple.
Tires (just cheapy junk yard tires will do for now to roll this thing around)
New wiring harnesses (the ones one that were chopped up)
Driver's Side Glass Window
Driver's Side Fender
Engine (Hopefully turbo)
Transmission (Again, Tii)

Things I have to go in/on:
Sway bar
Dash
Hood
Drive Shaft
Differential
Half Shafts (differential to wheels shafts? I'm not sure what exactly they are called, Axels?)
Bumper

The reason the car is sitting really low on one side is because there is not a shock on the passenger front side. Thankfully I have a spare front set of shocks and a complete set of TEIN lowering springs for the coupe. Once they are on, steering comes next and hopefully that'll be simple enough. I just need the mounts to hold it together.

I have a few other things missing but once I get the car cleaned up and on some jack stands I can assess is more completely.

This is gonna be fun!

I know why it doesn't run.
The OP tried to attach wheels to the Engine's rotors...silly rabbit.

Just to make sure that you realize this, with so much missing and the wiring harness hacked up, it is going to cost a lot more money to get that car back into shape than it would cost to buy one that is in streetable condition, not to mention all the time it will take to make the repairs. That car is more suitable as a parts car, or as a race car with a standalone EMS.

Oh, I thought that was one of those 2-rotor engines.

Lol I figured jokes about the wheels being in the engine bay would have some jokes to it.

I know it'll end up costing more in the long run but I want to restore the car correctly. I plan to do a full Tii swap to it. I'll figure it out. I have a few spare parts for the wiring but I was a little wary when I realized the harness was chopped up, but its a learning experience.

Restoring the car correctly would mandate a non-turbo drivetrain, as well as all the other OEM parts. You are looking at about $20,000 for a complete restoration. If your intent is to simply build a ghetto TII, then you could just buy one in our classified section for about $3,000.
