get ready for traffic...

i love my six puck (grabs great) but traffic isnt fun at all

to many damn family cars and automatics out there. wish everyone had a sports car then when the light turns green ZOOM!

slipping it is the bitch. avoid slipping it in 1st (lost of vibration on the tranny/drive line if you do.

yep thats what i mean, that will destroy your tranny and possibly other drive parts if you have an NA

he has a TII

according to his profile.

you can really feel the difference in the na drive train and the TII. the TII being so much stronger. i miss driving my 88TII.

im just getting use to driving an unsprung six puck. i have had it for about a week. for my TII im going with a six puck (sprung). a lil easier for traffic.

well check your entire drive line while your under there

inspect the bushings for cracks/dry rot/and missing sections.

Start from the front of the engine and work you way back.

Hmmm, I guess my 6k clutch drop launches coulda been hurting stuff then eh? Maybe thats why the rear of my car vibrates occasionaly on short tight turns with low acceleration. Oh well, I'll bomb on it till I break it, then get a TII tranny.

It also depends on what type of diff you have...the open diff (base NA's) will have more violent wheel hop than an LSD equipped car, provided it works well enough. The NA driveline (especially with old OEM bushings) won't take too much abuse with a puck type clutch bc of this shock/violence. If you don't launch/drag race or try to shift like Michael Shumacher, the NA tranny will take just under 300 lb ft or torque.
