hm first of all. get a compression checker and check the comp. pull the leading plugs out and slap in that tester. put pedal to floor, take out the first 2(inner fusestoward the motor) thats under the hood. and crack it for about 10 seconds. if both are over like 85 or so there passing. also. check your secondary injectors. they could be messing up. causing you not to rev past the hesitation. buy a haynes manual its your best friend

A blown engine will rev to redline (or should). Sounds either like a fuel problem or a completely melted cat. Does the exhaust stink like rotten eggs?

honduhs have cats don't they?

well, the catalytic(sp?) converters get clogged over time, so when they get really clogged, or even melted, they won't let any exhaust through, therefor, not letting the engine release gas very well, therefore making it run bad and not rev very high.

try taking them off(get the haynes manual) and nock all the stuffins out of them(the stuff on the inside) and then put them back. your car should rev past 3k, however, it will now be illegal.

"cats" is a universal car term. Short for catalytic converter. Thats what cleans out your exhaust on every car.

Aftermarket most definately...stock is mucho dollars plus is VERY VERY restrictive. I personally recommend the Bonez Super Flo system from http://www.rx7.com. It's $315 for the system and $20 for all the gaskets and bolts you'll need. It's a GREAT addition to the car even if you're leaving it stock and just wanna change the cats (trust me you'll notice a difference though).

Good at least some honda people are coming over to the right side and proving they are not complete tards. It is proly the cats or the secondaries not working. I would suggest checking if the secondaries are clogged or pluged into the harness. For the cats I would recommend the best kind in the world.....

this is the brand name..........................Race Pipe

Let me know if your cats are bad because I have a non-turbo race pipe for sale. This eliminates all 3 of your cats with a down pipe and a pre-silencer. And then you will be able to experience a loud shot gun back fire and more power to boot .
