New $250 86 FC
Well yesterday my shop purchased an 86 sport. It is silver, 4 lugs, mint interior, no sunroof, mint glass, body is great except a patch of rust on the p side rocker panel. Unfortunately it does not have a motor though. Fortunately I have an extra motor already. So for 250 bux we couldn't say no.
Our plans for it are to strip it down to bare metal. Sell pretty much everything off of it. Rebuild the motor and purpose build the chassis up for an all motor drag car for the local track. Our goal for next summer is low 13's.
The car is going to be our shop's car to get people in our city to recognize our work and have the fastest all motor import in Winnipeg. Hopefully the project goes smoothly. If any one needs anything out of an S4, let me know, because starting tommorow, the car is getting stripped.
I'll post pics when I get them.

only 13's??
had a buddy that had an S5 n/a, it was stripped with a tube frame, had a street ported engine, full exhaust and ported S5 intake, and some other mods, he ran a 13.1 with 207.6RWHP@2300lbs, i honestly think that 220-225RWHP is possible out of a large street port with a better setup exhaust, a stand alone fuel setup and ported S5 intake, i think a low-mid 12 is possible on the N/A engine with a street port and weight reduction.

of course it is, the owner of rotary power back in the day ran a full racing beat setup, ported with racing beat full carb and it had like 220 rwhp.
if you go n/a i think carb is better to get the most out of the car.

well it isn't going to be tube framed. We might do a half chassis, but depends on a few things still. Basically we are still deciding on a lot of things. Like engine management, or carb. As well as suspension and drivetrain setup.
Right now we are stripping everything to bare chassis and then go from there. I said 13's to have an attainable goal for the first season with the car. Obviosly in the long run we will want way more out of it.
The motor will probably be a bridge or half bridge, with a combination of different irons to make it up. Basically alot is still up in the air. Will keep ya posted.
