WA Needs answers...

Ok...so....having some issues with my 89 Vert that I'm not seeing much in the FAQs because I don't think people frequently ask these questions...

1-Anyone have a bent foglight bracket, and if you did..how did you bend it back? My fog light seems recessed and uneven on the drivers side...need adequate help figuring out how I can fix the problem without creating new ones...

2-Having some electrical problems such as.....clock ALWAYS resets to 1:00 if I turn the vehicle off or I hit a pothole...and my door light comes on on the idiot cluster for no reason when I flip up the headlights and go for a nitetime drive....anyone have these probs and know how to fix them???

Would love some feedback on both of these...they both drive me crazy...ty..

I would bet good money on your connectors in your dash being shot. I would go to your local junk yards and cut a new connector from the cars there. Get as much wire as possible. Ran me 2 bucks.

Idiot cluster has Bad cold solder joints..it's common and can be fixed by Resoldering the Joints,Or just Replace with a Used one Found in the SEC gen For Sale Section( usually about 20 bucks or so)..Fog light..take it out Bend it back, replace.

actually sounds more like a loose room fuse than cold solder joints in the clock/Idiot light panel. Has something been shoved into the room fuse socket? Such as connections for an old cell phone or alarm? Those will often stretch out the fuse holders until the fuse is loose in the socket.

and you will get more answers if you put the problem in the thread title instead of the lame *** thread title this thread was started with.
