need some turboII exhaust sound clips

hey guys i was thinking about getting 3" exhaust made for my turboII because i got a nice RB 3" downpipe and i need to get the rest of the exhaust now.

will it be too loud running 3" pipe straight back to an N1 style muffler?

i could really use some sound clips/videos of turboII's that have N1 style exhaust. any kind of video of a t2 with a somewhat straight exhaust would be great.

There are a few clips of a n1 vs RB on here on NP if seach around in the archives. I have a 3'' thunderfab dp/mp into a single n1. Yeah, you can hear it at WOT, but in my mind it's not loud by any means. It's all relative, most of my friends have f bodies and mustangs with long tubes and x pipes. That to me is loud. I think everyone hypes up how loud a single 3'' exhuast really is. Maybe on a n/a, but the t2 is virtually silent stock anyways.

That's with a 3" Corksport DP and MP to a dual N1 catback. Not exactly what you're looking for, but the single and duals don't sound much different on TII's.

I was only reving to like 4-5k and this was the 1st time it had been started in 3+ months.

thats what i was looking for. why does your car sound so good and that FD sounds like ****?

does 2.5" sound any different than 3" ?

if anyone else has any sound files of straight 3" to a canister muffler on a turboII that would be great.

You don't want it man, it's just too damn loud. That is what i am running and I will be installing a high flow cat real soon to compensate, it will drive you damn near crazy.

I have no way to get you a sound clip, or I would.

Is that a TII? How many dB's you think it might be? It doesnt sound like it would be all that loud from the video but that culd be just me. Is it tolerable under everyday ddriving conditions? Does it drone or do anything annoying?

i have a 3 inch single and hate it, i run a 3inch rb downpipe to a custom 3 inch back to a dynomax muffler, and it is sooooo loud, i am going to try changing the muffler and putting some other kind of muffler as a presilenser.

If too loud is idling past troopers -- yes. If I were to claim my TII ride has ever been on public roadways, I'd also mention that it has straight exhaust into the Apexi dual N1. This is not the version with the joined N1 pair at one side, but the cat-back split into separate sides. It's sounds like a big sport bike. All the Harleys can just continue their wet-flatulence exhaust, because it doesn't hum and rip like this.

She's apart in the garage for major edits and I'm shopping for a new clutch. Tonight I'm digging for info about mating a Quarter Master.

just happened to browse upon this subject.. and i dunno why joe's car sounds so much different then mine, though i'd assume it was because maybe in part to his full single setup perhaps? that wasnt a streetported engine though, not at the time.

mine can be kinda loud, and i have been pulled over after idling past a state trooper before. no ticket though, both times ive been pulled over for exhaust and they see that the rest of the car isnt really riced out they cut me a break.
