Need some starter help palease

Well I finally put my motor back in my car and forgot which side is the positive and which side is the negative on my starter.... and the solinoid wire goes with the positive right? So if you are under the car facing the front of the car (looking at the starter) would the positive be the one on the right or the one on the left?

The neg terminal should have a ground wire connecting the terminal to the housing.

Thread Resurrection!

I also need this answered, and am somewhat confused by what Turbo II Rotor said. So on an S4 t2 starter, does the solenoid latch onto the left or righting, considering we're looking at the starter already placed into the tranny. Sorry for the Noobness. I knew I should have taken a picture.

There are two nuts and one brass? lead. The brass lead has a wire connected to it, that wire should have a little black piece that slides right over the little brass lead on the top of the solenoid.
The two nuts beneath it are both positive, one going into the relay, and one coming out of it.

If your under the car with the starter already on, looking at the back of the starter, then the positive wire from the battery connects to the bolt/nut on the left hand side. The one to the right of it should already have a wire connected to it running straight into the starter itself.

So the wire from the solenoid in this pic, is it hooked up in the right spot? I apologize if I sound redundant.
