need some help with my car

well i have about $4000 to spend on my car. i can either put it into the body for paint and rims or i can put it into the engine. well i am choosing the engine cause this way i can win enough money to do the paint on the car, hehehe. hes the prob tho, i have a 1987 t2 with 69,000 miles on the trans and chassis but the engine core is fairly new with about 6,000 miles on it. i want to get around 300 whp out of the car without having to remove the motor or do any internal work on it. i was wondering if u guys could give me some ideas on what i should do with the money. thanks for ur help, i appreciate it.

what rebuild kit was put in? rotary aviations? cuz it depends on what seals you have for the rotors. u could always upgrade the turbo to a t3/t4 hybrid and put a new exhaust manifold with a nice big wastegate and put 3" pipe all the way back to 2 big ol' cans. and put a 3" intake. get upgraded injectors, with a fcd. do up your spark system, get a acv-r and a safc. and then finish it off with some nice 17 or 18 in rims with a lowering kit and a nice paint job. just what i would do with that much money. or sell it and get a fd. hehe

sure. go on ebay. plenty of parts online. itll prob be close to $4000-5000. the most expensive thing is gonna be the turbo and wastegate. the acv-r u can prob pick up for like $300-400 and the safc u can pick up for like $199. exhaust u can make with 2.5 in pipe kit for $139 and get 2 cans for ilke $40 a piece, and the injectors will be $199 for 1600cc for your secondary. and the fcd will be around $60. paint the car your self, just buy the paint for around $100 and lowering kit will cost about $150-200 and the rims will be around $500 and $250 for tires(thats how much i got mine for but good luck) but that all adds up to about $3000 from what im calculating. thats by painting the car yourself and doing all the work by your self and not including the shipping costs

http://fc3spro.com/TECH/FM2W/power.htm I often use that beast as a guide...
But what I'd do is get some hella good zost, bonez intake, and then upgrade your fuel system. That is the starting point. After that you talk about porting. Then cooling. Maybe a turbo upgrade.
Actually thats not what I'd do... I'd do 10,000 mods first because I'm a loser with no life cept workin on 7's. Thats my primary income too. It depends on how many hours you wanna spend working. And how good your washing machine is. These have a lot of grease everywhere LoL
