RX7 issues

hey i tryied to hook up my starter asnd got nothing.. i tried every way. i checked fuses and stuff. could some get a dgiram on where the grounds and wires go or possibly gwt pics of the statrer with the wire hooked up rite thanx

yeah i hooked mine up a lil messed up at first. just put a positive wire to the screw part of the starter where the 2 plug thingys are. and groudn the ground wire where u screw in the starter to the tranny. thats what i did. worked great

check wires all the way to the batt of course... take a DMM and test current all the way to it... Thats the basic stuff... After that i spose you check the ECU, make sure its grounded good, all that fun stuff.

Your positive (black or red) wire from the battery will go to the large lug on the starter solenoid body (top of the starter). Your negative (black with yellow stripe if it's OEM) will go either under the long bolt's head (at the rear housing), or under the long bolt's nut (right on the starter body), your choice. If the colors are not as described, you will have to visually follow the wiring from the battery posts to the correct terminals, DON'T get them mixed up!
And, of course, the small "jumper" wire from the starter body itself goes to the small lug on the starter solenoid. Do not overtorque that nut, or you will break the little stud...
