Cool need some help on 13b-re

I am about to put my cosmo engine into my FC. But I have a few questions, so please help me out.
1. I want to maintain as minimum of vacaum lines as possible. Does any one has experience on this?
2. I will be using my S4 front cover in place of the 13b-re one. Is this a good way to do it, any suggestion?
3. Could I use FD front cover instead of my S4 one? What is the advantage of this except a better water pump?
4. My throttle body is broken. The shaft for the lower butterfry plate is bended. I need a replacement. Could I use one from FD? Or anyone has a one from cosmo that I can buy so I can use the cosmo intercooler tube.
5. I will be using haltech E6K for the engine. Any suggestion on how to set things up?
6. On the accessories, anyone has experience on how to finish the swap?

Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

Carson

Carson, I'll be going on a trip to South carolina to deal with exactly this kind of stuff -- A friend of mine has an FC with a Cosmo 13B-RE and a Haltech E6K that I'll be rebuilding and setting up for him. Perhaps then I can answer some your questions. Until then --

1) Don't know directly.
2) Yes, this will work, especially for maintaining your stock turbo and ditching the Cosmo twins.
3) You could, but you don't want to because of water pump, oil metering, oil return line for turbo, etc.
4) You can't use the FD one. Use the Cosmo one if you have it. =)
5) Yep. This is what I specialize in. Let me know where you have a question.
6) None directly other than the intercooler piping and the use of different engine to subframe mounts.

Your best bet is to trace most of them to see where they go. Most of them go to solenoids you wont need.

2. I will be using my S4 front cover in place of the 13b-re one. Is this a good way to do it, any suggestion?
I wouldnt use the front cover unless your really worries about redoing the upper inlet to your radiator, but thats just me.

3. Could I use FD front cover instead of my S4 one? What is the advantage of this except a better water pump?
You could use it, but again id just stick with the cosmo front. If you want to get the best water pump with the least trouble, just leave the original.

4. My throttle body is broken. The shaft for the lower butterfry plate is bended. I need a replacement. Could I use one from FD? Or anyone has a one from cosmo that I can buy so I can use the cosmo intercooler tube.
There was someone using a FD intake on a -RE, and he was selling the intakes. Id try searching the for sale section.

5. I will be using haltech E6K for the engine. Any suggestion on how to set things up?
Id build off a FD map with comprable mods if you can find one.

6. On the accessories, anyone has experience on how to finish the swap?

Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

Which accessories? You can bolt your accessories to the motor, and the belts will line up.
