need some advice on my car (budget build)

just picked up an 87 na 2+2 and have about an additional $700 to spend (for now) and i"m just wondering what i shoud get, Ive already done a full 60k tune up like the faq said, except the pulsation dampener. I'm going for a mild driftter/daily driver. where should i start?

Well, here's your logical answer. Your going to need a tach and a better clutch for daily/drift. So not only does that help you in fixing your ride, it puts you one step ahead in the whole daily driver/drift car idea. Spend the extra on something to look at. Maybe a nice steering wheel.

well.. i think for suspension. for later when u get the cash. but some stance coilovers. or go with tein.. im not sure on swaybars.. ive only seen 2 kinds that sell kits for the fc. but mbbe im not lookin hard enough..

and as for keeping a good dd and drift.. well. upgrade the cooling system in the fc. that is important. especially when drifting. maybe get rid of the fan clutch and get some electric fans.. uhh. short shifter?? well thats all i have for ya.

good luck.

Find out if your model has the LSD diff, you should have that for drifting. Weight reduction, remove everything you can if you don't care how it looks.

Okay first fix it. Then check the DTSS; the rear wheels shouldn't be able to tilt in the steering direction when you push with your hands. Or for drifting you might want DTSS eliminator bushings even on a good DTSS, to break loose more predictably. Then shocks. Then springs (preferably at same time as shocks). Then sway bars. Then tires: nice but not too expensive or short lived, maybe cheap ones in the back to save money if you burn em out a lot. Then rims (or at the same time as tires). Then cat replacement. Then verify auxiliary port operation (www.aaroncake.net). Then mufflers. Then double check the aux ports.
